UQ's EB elections for 2007

What a night last night was! AIESEC EB elections for 2007. It was seriously looming over me like a dark cloud for the past few weeks…getting nervous, about getting up in front of everyone again and bearing all. Having to prepare a speech which I hadn’t properly done since high school I don’t think. But I wrote mine at like 2am a week ago because I couldn’t sleep as my mind was buzzing with ideas because I had a Red Bull that afternoon before work.

My speech was an analogy of how ‘your time in AIESEC is like a speech…’ I got the laughs out of the crowd that I wanted, at all the right/embarrassing bits and then the ‘awww’ at the cute bit. Hehe. But I found my 10min question time to be alright, not as hard as I had expected. The random question at the end was something like ‘what flavour ice-cream would you be and why?’ and I’m proud of what I said about wanting to be boysenberry as it rhymes with ‘poison-berry’ because I want to be more feisty!!

I’m so proud of everyone who went for the EB this year and I couldn’t be happier with the result. It’s an all girl EB:
