She's all yours now :)

The past couple of weeks have really been filled with a lot of AIESEC activity for me.

Tying off loose ends form the July Nat Con 06 finances and helping the Auditor audit the books, (the books passed the audit! Yay!)

From attending a Regional OGX meeting to meeting with Ayesha and Aidila for transition, to organising the SRB this Saturday, to co-running and organising the pre-SRB prep day, to seeing 3 potential SNs take on their ‘Taking Responsibility’ stage of the AIESEC XP with such enthusiasm and dedication, (they had to put together a communication strategy for promoting ACYLP and then present it this morning, it was very well done!). It was an effective project to work on and very beneficial for the SNs they got to work together in a team and saw AIESEC from a different perspective: the inside, looking out.

I went to Aidila’s Farwell dinner on Monday night at the Tibetan Kitchen in the Valley, The waiter was hot, and so was the food, but a different kind of hot, lol. I asked for ‘Very Mild!’

This morning, after the SNs ACYLP presentation, I read the an email Aidila sent me which was just a heartfelt thank you email and reminding me of a couple of OGX house keeping matters before she flies off to Prague in the Czech republic this arvo. At then end of it she said “…Okay that's enough. I'm letting go. She's all yours now :)”

I had a sensation go through my body, I was covered in goose bumps when I read that. It was surreal, I am now Out-Going Exchange Director of AIESEC UQ. It was as if that moment, 11.05am, is marking the start of something great, a huge year to come, and it probably is. I have a lot in store for me next year. All I can say now is that I hope I don’t stuff it up and bring it on!!
